Director of Clinical Services
Samuel is the Clinical Director at Empathy Community Services responsible for our community nursing role. Samuel, commonly known as Sam is a passionate and experienced registered nurse with at least elven years of post – registration experience, providing direct clinical care to patients in hospital. Samuel is currently working as a clinical nurse in an acute inpatient ward of a busy tertiary hospital in Brisbane. This is a position he has held for at least nine years.
He holds two post graduate qualifications in mental health nursing and advanced practice nursing with an endorsement to practice as a nurse practitioner. Sam is extremely passionate about advocacy, client’s safety, recovery oriented standard quality care backed by evidence, provided for and to clients in a timely manner.
Sam came to Empathy Community Service because he believes that people living with a disability deserve the best care and support to reach their full potential. Sam holds a Bachelor of Nursing (BN), Master of Mental Health Nursing (MMHN) and Master of Nursing Science, Nurse Practitioner (MNSc, NP).
On a personal level, Sam has two beautiful high school going children and loves traveling to new places, learning new things, gardening, and farming.
